A Little Bit About Me
I am a single mum with a beautiful 13 year old son who means the world to me. If this is an issue for you, I understand but please don't waste my time (or your own) if you know that your family would not approve of my background. I am incredibly proud of my son and the life we have achieved together.

I am a teacher as well as having additional responsibilities in a secondary school. I have worked hard to achieve my goals in life and have a great deal of passion for educating tomorrows generation. It's true what they say about teaching....no 2 days are ever the same! I love spending time doing things with my son, as well as relaxing with good friends, be it a night out or night in. I throughly enjoy reading and listening to music. R and B is my favourite genre and I can always be found singing tunelessly along to 90s classics (it was a hard realisation that the 90s was now an era of 'classics'). I also love a good Netflix binge!

I like to travel and have visited italy, greece, spain, france, Egypt, Lanzarote, Turkey, Morocco, Malaysia, Borneo, Dubai, Mexico, Sri Lanka ..... I hope to continue to travel widely and plan on going to Vietnam this year.


I am an independent woman who has been brought up to be able to stand on my own two feet. I am feisty, opinionated and not afraid to say what I think. However, this does not mean I am argumentative or do not know how to respect my elders. Exactly the opposite. I’m not looking for someone to bankroll my life, but complement it.

I come from a very small family where the focus in life was to educate yourself. I would say my family are liberal and I am lucky that I have had the freedom to pursue my own goals and ambitions in life. I have been blessed with educated parents who have instilled strong moral and ethical principles within me. My faith is very important to me but this is a relationship between myself God. I am of Asian heritage, but I do not agree with many aspects of the Asian culture. Faith comes before culture and I am not one to be bound by cultural traditions wherever possible (admittedly, sometimes I have to relent!).

My life is very fulfilling and happy but I'm ready to move on to another stage and another adventure

What I Am Looking For
I am looking for someone ideally born, brought up and living in the UK. I have no issue with whether you were born a Muslim or are a revert.

Someone who can hold an articulate conversation about a range of topics, from my latest pair of shoes (i own a lot!) to Rumi. Someone who can mix with a wide range of people confidently as my friends are an eclectic bunch. I am an exceptionally affectionate person and want to be able to share intellectual conversations with someone, as well as being able to kick back and relax.

I like to be romanced and am looking for someone who is strong and mature and has a sense of morality and faith, without forgetting how to live life.

Most importantly, someone non judgemental and emotionally intelligent, in short, a man and not a boy. A man is comfortable within himself and is not afraid to say what he wants and go after it.

As independent as I am, I still hold old school values and believe in a man being a gentleman. I have no issue if you want to hold the door open for me!
